Nature Photography {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

Been working on editing some creek images of my babies. Haven't had the chance to put a full blog together of the images, but hopefully soon.

One of my favorite things to photograph (outside my children) is the little bits of nature hiding everywhere. Before I took up photography I missed out on noticing all the little buds and pops of color.

I used nature/macro photography as a way to learn my camera originally. I don't like to use auto focus when shooting. This gave me the chance to learn stability. I shoot almost everything at a 1.8 which lends a lot of room for blurry images. I learned to focus and move quickly by practicing on plants. The wind would move them and force me to adjust. For the past year all of my sessions for work have been a 1.8 and I have been so happy with the result.

I hope to complete my blog post with the images of my kids soon. I hope you enjoyed the florals in the mean time!

Anderson Family Session {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

It is always fun photographing these sisters. Their personalities are so vibrant that they shine into each image. There was a lot of silliness happening and I was lucky enough to capture a few candid shots of the sisters interacting. Tickle fights broke out a couple of times. You could really tell how much they love each other.

One of the things I like to do when shooting a kid only session is to let them explore. The trains were exciting to both of them so we traveled from car to car and the girls selected places to stop. Big sister was excited to find a red caboose. I didn't know how she knew it was the caboose (since it was in the middle of the other cars) but I googled images when I got home and she was right! I learned something new!

This is one of my favorite times of year to photograph, when everything is still green but fall colors are starting to pop in.  The girls clothing really complimented the environment.

Pretty golden hair and pretty golden sun.

These two images reminded me of an album cover. They both wanted to try balancing the tracks.

Just some more tickling lol. As soon as I would lift my camera to my eye I would hear one of their little voices yell "tickles!" It made for a lot of adorable candids.

 We took a lot of images in front of big sisters favorite train car. She liked the red and so did I! They were both so sweet interacting that I had a hard time narrowing down the poses.

I really like the black and white images from this session <3

Thanks again to the family for letting photograph their precious girls! I enjoyed it immensely!

Baby E's 9 month session {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

Cannot believe this little girl is already 9 months old! It has been so wonderful to watch her grow from a sweet newborn. She is one of the easiest babies to make smile. All of her facial expressions made it difficult for me to narrow down shots to edit.

She loved the pumpkins, and she loved her big brother making her laugh.

She was also teething haha!

It began raining moments before our session began at 8am causing us to come back that evening. All of the warm colors made it nice that we had to reschedule.

Mom said there is a photo of her as a little girl holding a flower and smiling at it. It will be a fun comparison for E to have with this image.

As always, I really enjoyed photographing these two and cannot wait to see them in the future. I hope Mom and Dad enjoy their images!
