Sweeney Family {Fort Smith, AR Photographer}

Ashley was the winner of the Mother's day giveaway through Facebook. I was so happy to meet her sweet family! The evening of the photo shoot it was 99 degrees and very humid, but you wouldn't know it by looking at them.

Big brother wasn't to excited about doing a photo session, but I don't know many toddler boys that would prefer to sit for pictures instead of playing. This creek is a favorite of my kids. They spend hours running around and making discoveries. We ended up following this cutie around and sneaking in photos.

Little sis was surprisingly content with cuddles for how hot it was. I love this daddy daughter image!

By the end of the shoot Mr D was pretty muddy. He enjoyed exploring by the creek, seeing all the little fish trapped in small pools, and throwing rocks.

The cuteness of this angel is almost too much!

I am so happy I got to meet this wonderful family!

Down by the creek {Fort Smith, AR Photographer}

I have been participating in a 100 day creative challenge where you create everyday for 100 consecutive days. As part of this challenge my family went down to a favorite spot so I could photograph my kids playing. I staged some images of my daughter to play around with a new editing style. I was striving for a Disney princess feel but when you place a tom boy in a princess role it doesn't last long. She modeled for a few minutes then ran off to explore.

I love sun flares. I've considered using a hood to prevent them but I think they are so magical.

This was a very fun shoot for me. I love creating memories with my kids and absolutely love exploring with them.

Erin and Christopher's engagement session {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

How perfect are these two?
When Christopher first told us about Erin you could tell he was falling for her pretty hard. Soon, every weekend he was with her. If we were visiting with him during the week he was sneaking out early so he could talk to her. But who could blame him?

When we finally got to meet Erin we loved her too. My husband and I were so happy Christopher had  found such a smart, funny, and beautiful woman. My kids absolutely loved her also. Now, almost daily, I am asked "When do we get to see Chriffofur and Ewin?"

It was really amusing watching Christopher in the months before he proposed. He designed Erin's ring. Re designed Erin's ring. Designed it again. Put together the best plan he could for surprising her during the proposal. Panicked when his plan wasn't working... All of it was hilarious. Obviously all his planning worked out because he got the girl.

The morning we did their engagement photos my children were begging to come. Once I told my oldest who I was photographing she ran to her room and grabbed her camera. We made the shoot a group affair. My kids were running through the creek, catching frogs, and bringing Erin dead fish, while my husband walked with the baby.

The creek was very slippery. Before Christopher picked Erin up he was sliding. I was really thinking both of them were going to fall, but Christopher seemed confident in his balancing ability.

I am so happy to know this couple. We look forward to the wedding, as well as, many Settlers of Catan battles! Wishing Erin and Christopher a life full of happiness together!
