Baby Ellie newborn session

Baby Ellie is 7 days new!

Newborn photography is always an adventure, but I love the challenge! Every shoot I do I am overwhelmed at the tininess of these babies! Ellie was so sweet and adorable. I always love what you can't see in these photos. The room was about 80 degrees. To keep Ellie asleep, a vacuum was running inches from me. The three siblings and my two children kept crawling between my legs, behind the newborn stand I had built, and climbing on the bed to get a better look. (Ellie is my niece, no I don't normally bring my children to shoots).

Mommy's request:
Ellie's mom had purchased this head piece and diaper cover special for the newborn shoot. It isn't always easy to guess how an outfit will fit on a newborn. This one, when it arrived, was a little big for this 6lb princess, but she still looks adorable. Its always a fun challenge to incorporate parents requests. I have known her mom for 10 years, and if I needed an adjective to describe her it would be PINK.

Ellie is the youngest of four. The family now has two boys and two girls. Big sister is wearing pearls that her father brought back from one of his deployments. Mom also purchased a dress online for big sister to wear for pictures. However, when the dress arrived, it was about two sizes too small. We improvised. instead of full body photographs, I opted for reclined poses. Two beautiful little girls.

My sister in law purchased this session to benefit

Shelley was in need of brain surgery to relieve symptoms of Inter cranial hypertension. I offered sessions for donations. I was so thankful to have my sister in laws support!
