Baby Z turns one! {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

I cannot believe she is one! Little Z has been one of my sweetest little models over the past year. I was so lucky to photographer her newborn, 3m, 6m, 9m, and now first birthday. Its a privilege to watch these precious gifts grow. She was the most outgoing this time. She had full conversations, hushed me, waved hello and good bye, gave me gifts of grass and dirt, clapped... So much fun.

She wasn't the biggest fan of grass lol

She was just drumming...

Getting a little help from Daddy to show off her dress

Showing of her little teeth!

Here came the moment that will haunt me before any future smash cake session. While Miss Z got changed I decided I should hold the cake and lay out a blanket at the same time. I dropped her cake and crushed all the roses on top. Birthday girl didn't mind fortunately, and neither did Mom and Dad. I was so thankful for that but I do wish I hadn't assisted in the cakes distraction so much. One things for sure, she didn't need any help being cute.

About half way through Z decided to include her little feet in the smashing.

"I'm done! Pick me up!"

Thank you to Z's parents for trusting me with her first years photographs. She is so wonderful and I enjoyed every session!

Baby Z's Newborn Session {Fort Smith AR Photographer}

I was so looking forward to the birth of this adorable baby boy. I was blest to first meet the family while doing Mom's maternity photos. Here is baby Z, 18 days new!

This afghan was knitted by great grandma.

Sleeping in daddy's hands. I love all the squishy rolls! Dad had on a white dress shirt. I was a little worried about naked baby + nice white shirt haha! Made it through the pose unscathed.

Big sister was so excited to be part of the newborn shoot. She did such an amazing job being posed and had the sweetest smiles. We snuck in a few solo shots of Miss L when brother needed to nurse.

 I had brought a few hats for this session but couldn't bring myself to cover this gorgeous hair!

Dad grew up in rural Guatemala doing ranching. We incorporated boots and Dad's hat into a couple images.

I could not believe how strong Z was. He kept attempting to roll away and was straining his neck to look out the window.

To close out the session we stepped out into the yard. The sun had just moved behind the trees. Miss L had some pose ideas for me to warm up.

These images of sweet L with her daddy were her full vision. She grabbed Dad's hands and told me when to shoot lol! Love it!

Its so easy to see how Z takes after his daddy in this image.

And to end with a little sass! She was very adamant that I get a shot of her finger. Not sure exactly what this pose signifies, but I know she will be happy to have it lol! Very much enjoyed this family. Visiting was just as enjoyable as the shoot itself. I hope they enjoy the photos!
