Extended Family Session {Fort Smith, Arkansas Photographer}

I really enjoy doing extended family sessions. You get to meet multiple generations, as well as, watch the members interact with each other. It always makes me wish my brothers and sisters lived closer.

This whole family was so wonderful (and easy) to photograph. I was told they had planned family portraits around the time the first grandchild was born over a decade ago but were just now getting around to doing it. I am so flattered to be the photographer you chose!

I had scheduled with this family over a month ago to meet at the historic site downtown. That was before all the rain and flooding hit. My location had to change slightly for this session due to high water, but I was so thankful the rain rerouted itself so this session did not need to be rescheduled!

There was a request for a crazy photo :) Definitely a framer. I greatly appreciate that spirit fingers were the immediate reaction for most of the family.

I'm assuming by sibling interactions that this gentleman was the youngest. His smiles were pretty genuine as his brother and sister heckled him.

I love love love moms dress!

The grandsons requested a wagon image

Black and Whites (my favorites)

Thank you so much to this family for having me out. I enjoyed meeting and working with all of you!

Bridgette's maternity session {Fort Smith, Arkansas Photographer}

I found Bridgette through an open model call on Facebook. I was seeking out a model for a maternity session. Occasionally I will do giveaways to expand my portfolio and experiment with a different editing style or program. Thank you so much to Bridgette for helping me out and congratulations on your baby boy.

My original plan for this session was to have Bridgette wade in the water. With all this crazy rain the water was too deep. Usually it is ankle deep but when I stepped in to test I fell immediately to my thigh. Mom was quite a bit more petite than I am, so we kept her on the bank. Genuine smiles are the best, and though I don't know what he was doing behind me, Bridgette's brother got one out of her.

I did a maternity session a few days ago and I found it hilarious that that MomToBe was wearing the exact same nail polish as Bridgette.

I love maternity images. To me there is nothing more beautiful than a pregnant mom. Speaking from personal experience, you don't remember much about your pregnancy. I also know I didn't feel beautiful during mine because the changes to my body were overwhelming. In hindsight, I love having my pregnancy images to remember this very special time. It goes so quickly, and it is such a precious time. This is Mom's first opportunity to bond with her baby.

I really enjoyed meeting Bridgette and I appreciate her willingness to help me out. Congratulations!

Alexandria's Bridal Portraits {Fort Smith, Arkansas Photographer}

I don't usually do Bridal portraits, but I was excited to give this gift to my sweet and beautiful cousin who just got married this past weekend. Congratulations Jeremy and Alexandria!

Her sister and I were trying to stale as long as possible. Back at my house family were setting up for a surprise shower. Everyone had traveled a few hours and my sweet husband decorated and picked up food and cake all while watching our children. He was the most amazing honorary bridesmaid ever.

Alexandria was one of the hardest people to get a genuine smile out of. I kept screaming "JEREMY!' in a British accent to finally get her to crack.

I was the brilliant makeup artist for these portraits. I applied fake eyelashes for the first time and glued her eyelid to her eyebrow. I repaired it thankfully, but that is why you leave it to the professionals.

Once again, we were stalling. I took over 600 images during this session.
